Samsung reveals the Galaxy S5 LTE-A featuring a QHD display
Samsung has just announced a variant of its flagship Galaxy S5 called the Galaxy S5 LTE-A. The smartphone has a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, with 1440x2560 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 576 ppi. The S5 LTE-A supports LTE-A speeds of up to 225Mbps.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A runs on Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat OS and has a 2.5GHz Snapdragon processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Apart from this, the S5 LTE-A has the same specifications as the original S5. It has a 16MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The smartphone has 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD and packs a 2,800 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S5 LTE-A will come in Charcoal Black, Electric Blue, Shimmering White, Copper Gold and Sweet Pink. The Samsung device will also be available via South Korean carrier SK telecom and will come in a special red color. The S5 LTE-A has been priced at 940,500 Won or 919 US Dollars and will be launched this week in Korea. No details have been given about whether the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A will be launched globally. 
Samsung has released several variants of its flagship phone S5 including a S5 Zoom with better cameras, a rugged S5 Active and an S5 Mini variants have also been launched.
Recently LG launched its G3, which also featured a 5.5 inch QHD display,with a slight lower pixel density of 538ppi than the S5 LTE-A and a Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM. It features a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The smartphone has a 13MP OIS rear camera and a secondary front camera. The G3 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with a 3000 mAh battery.
