4-inch iPhone may actually be called the Apple iPhone 5se

4-inch iPhone may actually be called the Apple iPhone 5se

Latest reports suggest that the 4-inch iPhone may not be called the iPhone 6c, 7c, or even the 5e, but instead will be called the iPhone 5se. As with the ‘5e’ naming scheme, the new phone will be an enhanced version of the iPhone 5s, hence the ‘e’. The upcoming phone was also purportedly photographed next to an iPhone 5 which shows the similar screen size of the two devices.
According to the image posted on OneMoreThing, a Dutch website, the 4-inch variant of the device may have the same design as the iPhone 6. An earlier report by 9to5Mac, which suggested that the phone could be called the iPhone 5se, also says the phone may be powered by a A8 chipset with the M8 motion coprocessor. It might be equipped with an 8MP camera at the back with a 1.2MP front facing camera. It has been tipped to come with NFC, which would support Apple Pay. The phone may also show Live Photos, support larger panoramas and come with autofocus for recording video. The device has been tipped to be available in Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold colour variants. However, the device may not come with 3D Touch and the display will reportedly be the same as the one used in the iPhone 5s. Other features that the device may come with include Bluetooth 4.2, VoLTE, and a barometer.
Rumours suggest that Apple will unveil the device during an event in March. The launch will most likely happen in late March or early April. Earlier reports suggested that Apple was planning to launch the next generation of Apple Watch alongside the 4-inch iPhone, but that may not happen. Instead, it is possible that the company may launch an upgraded version of the original Watch instead of a whole new one. The only upgrade in this version may just be an inclusion of a FaceTime camera and not much else.
