Google appears to be all set to launch its flagship Nexus 6 smartphone in the Indian market. The device was spotted on Flipkart as ‘coming soon’ indicating that the launch is eminent, though the price of the Nexus 6 has not been revealed yet.
The Google Nexus 6 has a 5.96-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and 493ppi pixel density. It has a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor with 3 GB RAM. It is available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage options. The Nexus 6 has a 13 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera.
Connectivity wise the device supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. It runs on the latest Google Android Lollipop 5.0 OS. The Nexus 6 comes with Motorola’s Turbo Chargers that, according to the company, can charge the phone back up to six hours worth of battery life in 15 minutes. It is backed by a 3,220mAh battery and is available in midnight blue and cloud white colors. It is unclear whether the Motorola manufactured Nexus 6 will be available on any other online retailer apart from Flipkart and Google Play Store.
Google Nexus 9 tablet which was announced with the Nexus 6 has also been listed on the Google Play Store in India for Rs. 28,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only variant, while the 32GB 3G variant is priced at Rs. 44,900. The Nexus 9 has an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. It has an 8 MP rear autofocus camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash as well as a 1.6 MP front camera. The tablet is backed by a 6700mAh battery.
