Google Play store to reportedly get a new UI update soon

Google Play store to reportedly get a new UI update soon
Google introduced its latest design guidelines known as ‘Quantum Paper’ or Material Design at the Google I/O conference recently. We have already seen the guidelines in the updated Google+ application and the Google Sheets, Docs and Slides applications that are extensions of Google Drive and according to reports Google’s Play Store will be getting the Material Design soon, in an upcoming update.
Android Police reports that Google will be redesigning the interface and aesthetics of the Play Store for Android devices and added that the content listings are in focus in the new design.
The new layout and design of the Play Store gives the most attention to content, with the video or trailer for the item and the app icon or movie/album/magazine cover being larger. The content and the text describing the item, is lower and you will not be able to view it upon first entering the listing.
The whole store listing page has changed, to one that uses artistic layout on a largely white canvas with the new Roboto font highlighted during the Google I/O conference. However, the overhaul is still under wraps and could change entirely by the time it is launched, so we ask to take it with a pinch of salt.
Recently Samsung also overhauled its app store with a focus on Galaxy devices. The new Samsung Galaxy Apps store will feature “hundreds of apps” exclusively for Samsung Galaxy mobile users, the company stated in a blog post. The revamped app store offers higher customization and includes a variety of promotions and discounts to users of Samsung Galaxy mobile devices.
