Microsoft is reportedly going to launch its Nokia Lumia 830 in India next month. According to reports, the smartphone will be priced around Rs. 26,000, most likely to compete in the mid-range segment.
Microsoft has unveiled the Lumia 830 at the recently concluded IFA event in Berlin. The smartphone runs Windows Phone 8.1 and is scheduled to receive the Denim Update. The Lumia 830 features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 720p resolution protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. runs on a 2200 mAH removable battery. Imaging is handled by a 10MP primary camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and a 1MP front camera.
The Lumia 830 comes with 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 128GB, along with 15GB of free cloud storage on Microsoft’s OneDrive.
It will be interesting to see how the new smartphone is received in the Indian market, where most of the action is happening in the budget segment, under Rs. 15,000. Recently, Motorola launched the Moto G second generation, for Rs. 12,999. Micromax has also launched a new Canvas Nitro octa-core phone in that price range.
